My co-worker Allison just let me know that annual Blessing of the Animals services are coming up.
I've never gotten the chance to go the past couple of years, but this year CeCe and I will be there. Hopefully with pet treats and other animals nearby, she won't cause an unholy ruckus. (CeCe loves food and creatures of all kinds - just like her mama.)
According to Allison, all types of pets are welcome, "even stuffed animals."
Here were the services she knew of so far:
- Christ the King Catholic Church (6721 Ga. 354, Pine Mtn.) - Oct. 4 - 11 a.m.
- Trinity Episcopal Church (1130 First Ave., Col.) - Oct. 5 - 3 p.m.
- St. Thomas Episcopal Church (2100 Hilton Ave., Col.) - Oct. 5 - 6 p.m.
