Here's a story I found about an unusual kind of pet:

Stinky pets? Domesticated skunks find love

This part surprised me: "Over the years, the couple would see skunks in pet stores but they were always already spoken for."

Really?!

Where are these stores? And who buys these animals as pets?

I think a Chinatown turtle is the most "exotic" I'd get.
